The T1 Weighted images reveal a well circumscribed lesion that is isointense to CSF. It is hyperintense to CSF with a peripheral rim that is isointense to white matter on the Proton, T2 Weighted and FLAIR images. An eccentric speck that is isointense to white matter is seen within this lesion on the FLAIR images and would represent the scolex. Perilesional edema is noted. This lesion represents a cysticercus in the colloidal vesicular stage.
